Amid worries over the health of the London Stock Exchange, the FTSE 100 delivered some serious winners in 2024, with major companies doubling in value and helping balance out, a mixed year for energy and mining stocks.
The FTSE All-Share and FTSE 100 indices had each returned around 11 per cent for the year as at mid-December.
